The Wife of Willesden

By Zadie Smith
Directed by Linda Miller

Five marriages under her belt. Mother. Lover. Auntie. Confidante. Alvita has lived it all, and she’ll happily tell you every last detail over a drink. No shame, no filter, no apologies. The only real question is: are you ready for her? From the critically acclaimed, multi‑award‑winning author Zadie Smith, this “irresistibly rambunctious” (The Telegraph) adaptation catapults Chaucer’s renowned Wife of Bath straight into 21st‑century North West London. Join us for the first regional production of this exciting play as part of the National Year of Reading.
