Comic Potential

By Alan Ayckbourn
Directed by David Shirley

A highly entertaining, romantic sci-fi comedy, Alan Ayckbourn's Comic Potential is set in a near future TV studio in which mechanical androids have taken the place of live actors. A sort of futurized Pygmalion that combines love, laughter and some telling insights into the human condition, the play offers a revealing and often provocative portrait of the modern world and our increasing dependency on mechanization.
