Presentation and Communication Skills Courses
With an internationally acclaimed reputation for training some the UK's most highly acclaimed professional actors, Manchester School of Theatre is delighted to announce a range of presentation and communication skills courses specifically designed to meet the needs of those employed in the community, business, government and media related sectors in the North West region and beyond. With the knowledge and expertise of a team of highly skilled and dedicated practitioners and facilitators - specialising in voice production, body language and interpretative skills - we can help maximise potential and generate impact in the following areas:

Available on a one-to-one basis or in group workshop sessions, each of our courses is designed to ensure that every participant develops a range of new skills that will develop self-confidence, enhance professional quality and maximise individual impact.
Alongside existing courses we also offer a bespoke service in which School of Theatre facilitators will liaise with individual clients to assess particular training needs and tailor unique sessions to meet specific requirements and allocated budgets.

Effective Communication
How skilfully do you manage the impression you make in the work environment? This two day course is designed to increase self-awareness by highlighting the importance of eye contact, vocal clarity, body language, listening, contributing to meetings and assertiveness. Aimed at those seeking to improve communication and interpersonal skills in the workplace, this course will involve individual and group presentations, observation, role play and simulated meetings. All participants will receive detailed individual feedback.

Designed to allay many of the fears associated with speaking in public, this two day course will explore how to use the voice and body as a means of promoting greater ease and relaxation. Posture and the use of gesture, vocal energy and dynamism, personal style and rapport, as well as the importance of spoken language will form the basis on which the course is established. This course is aimed at those seeking to enhance self-confidence and develop presentational skill.

Presentations and Public Speaking
This practical two day course introduces a range of techniques that can be used in relation to planning and preparing speeches, seminars and presentations; communicating with large groups; working effectively with the voice and body; engaging the listener; group motivation and assertiveness. The two-day version of this course will involve film sessions in which individual presentations are recorded and used as a basis for one to one feedback and support.
