Epsom Downs

By Howard Brenton
Directed by Chris Hayes

Originally commissioned and produced by Joint Stock Theatre Company and directed by Max Stafford-Clark, Epsom Downs offers a telling glimpse of both the foibles and charms of 1970s British society. Set on Derby Day during the Silver Jubilee celebrations, this is a funny, serious and occasionally disturbing evocation of the English at play.
